“I would introduce a liberal market tomorrow morning at 8:30,” said Dr. Eng. Dimitar Beleliev , Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (BASEL).
According to him, the energy market is currently not a normal market because it is not determined by supply and demand. On the demand side, one third of the market is at fixed prices, and the other two thirds have a maximum price above which they are subsidized. On the supply side, we have a state sector, whose profits are being taken away in order to compensate for something, he commented.
“We have repealed the law of supply and demand and no good things can happen for business, people, or the state sector,” Beleliev emphasized.
